Does your dog spend long periods alone during the day? Try playing soft music for some of it, it will break the boredom and make the hours without you more pleasant for your dog. Studies suggest that music has a calming effect on dogs, particularly slow-tempo genres like classical or spa music.

We all know dogs love a good nap. But did you know their sleep patterns might be linked to their vision? Dogs have more rods in their eyes than humans, making them see better at dawn and dusk (they're considered "crepuscular" animals).
Could this explain why your dog seems more energetic in the mornings and evenings? Perhaps their daytime naps aren't just about rest or no one being home, but also about following their natural rhythm as twilight hunters.
