s a head pat the nicest way to greet your dog? Next time you head pat your dog, observe what they do - lean in? Great. If they duck, look or move away - not so good. Try an ear scratch, shoulder rub or long strokes on their back instead. Watch how your dog responds, a relaxed body, low wagging tail and soft eyes are signs of a contented dog.
