1 Tip - on life with your dog
As Halloween approaches, consider how your dog will cope with the increased noise and activity.
If it's practical, put them in a quiet room with toys, or a long-lasting chew and
play soft music (classical or reggae is best).
Alternatively, you could have them on a lead, allowing the door to be opened without worrying that anyone will get a fright.
Keep treats and chocolate out of reach, as they are toxic to dogs.
1 Idea - on the leading edge
A question to ask...Does my dog want to dress up? If you believe your dog wants to dress up for Halloween, you may be participating in Anthropomorphism, attributing human characteristics to non-humans. Observe your dog, do they look away, scratch at the costume or generally look uncomfortable? Make the call to listen and take it off.
