1 Tip - on life with your dog
Tired of your dog pulling toward every dog?
Try this game: Open bar, closed bar.
Fill your pockets with your dog's favourite treats—the good stuff, not boring kibble. The moment you spot another dog approaching, call your dog's name. When they look to you, start those treats flowing until you're past the other dog, then stop.
This is "open bar, closed bar"—other dogs = treats, no other dogs = party's over.
Practice on your walks, and your dog will start scanning for dogs, not to rush toward them, but to come back to you for the reward.
You're shifting their brain to think "other dog = my human becomes amazing."
The result? You will become the highlight, not just the person holding the lead.
1 Idea - on the leading edge
Like any new skill, quality practice through repetition and intention will make this behaviour stick.
