1 Tip - on life with your dog

Is your dog pulling on lead? Try stopping, then ease the lead, youor dog may pull forward again, stand firm but when they get to the end of the lead, ease it again. They'll realise it's them pulling and be less like to if practiced consistently. Everyone enjoys a collaborative walk, including your dog.

An Note on Punishment vs. Positive Reinforcement

Punishment can have unintended consequences. It may suppress behaviors temporarily, but it can also lead to fear, anxiety, and even aggression in dogs. Importantly, punishment doesn't teach a dog what to do; it simply suppresses the unwanted behavior.

Positive reinforcement is a more effective and ethical approach to dog training. It focuses on rewarding desired behaviors, which strengthens the desired behavior and builds a stronger bond with your dog. This creates a positive learning environment where your dog learns to associate good behavior with positive outcomes.

Instead of relying on punishment, try to ignore undesired behaviors and consistently reward your dog for any desired actions. You might be surprised at how quickly your dog responds positively to this approach.
