1 Tip - on life with your dog

Let your dog stop to sniff at that patch of grass and keep sniffing until they are finished. Sniffing activates their parasympathetic system, reducing cortisol, regulating and releasing any stress they may have been carrying. The result? A calmer dog with a more optimistic outlook.

1 Idea - on the leading edge

When a dog stops to sniff, they are gathering information about their environment and processing it. By hurrying them past the things that interest them, we are making a choice for them. A great walk from your dog's point of view starts by letting your dog follow their nose rather than the footpath. Agency is not a reward you give a good dog. It is a need every dog has.
