On needs being met

1 Tip - on life with your dog
If your dog's behaviour is frustrating you, pause before trying to stop it. Ask: Is this actually a natural dog behaviour — barking, digging, sniffing, jumping? If yes, the goal isn't suppression. Try to find a way to meet that need on your terms.
1 Idea - on the leading edge
A dog whose world is rich enough, physically, mentally and socially, doesn't need to work nearly as hard to meet its own needs. That's when "problem" behaviours quietly soften on their own.
Take a look at your dog's week. Are they getting real exercise, time with other dogs, dedicated sniff time, and food that genuinely engages them? Adding value to these activities addresses behaviour at its root — and shifts your dog's motivation from the inside out. It's not just effective. It's the kindest way to work.
