On rest

1 Tip - on life with your dog
Dogs need more rest than many people realise.
Adult dogs sleep around 12–14 hours a day, while puppies and senior dogs often need 16–18 hours.
If your puppy seems restless, bitey, barky, or generally 'too much', it might be that your pup is overtired. Plan regular rest times each day. It's just as important as walks, play, and training.
1 Idea - on the leading edge
Helping your puppy get enough rest starts with a calm, predictable routine.
Set up a quiet space or crate with a comfortable bed, reduce stimulation, and consider soft background music (gentle classical works best). A long-lasting chew before rest time can help your puppy settle more easily.
Overtired puppies often struggle to regulate their behaviour — becoming hyperactive, anxious, and irritable.
Sound familiar? It’s not so different from what toddlers need.
