1 Tip - on life with your dog

The way you talk to your dog matters. Dogs respond to tone and energy more than words, so try using a bright, friendly voice. You’ll often see a quicker, more eager response when your tone matches the behaviour you want to encourage.

1 Idea - on the leading edge

Dogs aren’t human—go figure 😂! This actually makes things easier, because we don’t need to layer human meaning onto their behaviour. Dogs respond to their environment, their needs, and natural drivers like digging holes or sniffing that very interesting dead thing. They don’t analyse the past or worry about the future—they live in the now. When we meet them in that present moment, observing, guiding, and supporting rather than interpreting, we can understand them better and respond in ways that meet their needs.
